Vymezení významných faktorů využití potenciálu farmářských trhů v rozvoji regionu z hlediska formování poptávky

The aim of this master thesis is to define the important aspects of the exploitation of the potential of farmers' markets for supporting the development of local food networks and the benefits of agriculture for the development of Brno region. It is based on the socio-economic research of factors shaping consumer's demand. The survey of consumers' opinions and preferences for the purchase of agricultural products at farmers' markets was performed in the basis of the analysis and synthesis of information from specialized literature and from the research already carried out in the given area. The part of the survey is to define the important factors influencing the buying behavior of consumers at farmers' markets in the region and the evaluation of social benefits of farmers' markets perceived by consumers in the context of regional development.
"The other" geography of alternative food networks: farmers' markets as a travelling concept

Boom of the farmers' markets in 2010 represented a brand new phenomenon in the so far rather calm development of the Czech alternative food networks (AFNs). Unprecedented was the extent of political support at the local and state level as well as the interest of media and consumers. My PhD project originates in the desire to understand this phenomenon. I realized qualitative research of practice and discourse of the farmers' markets in the territory of Prague metropolitan area (PMA) during the years 2011 and 2012. The main research methods included interviews with organizers, observation at the markets, and the content analysis of the mass media. In the course of the research it became obvious that the current academic discourse, rooted primarily in the Anglo-American context, cannot be applied to the Czech reality. Also, the specific features of the farmers' markets in the PMA could only partially be explained by the differences between the Czech post-socialist context and "the West". An interpretation of the boom of farmers' markets in the PMA, consistent with the results of my research, was only enabled by an innovative approach which combines the concept of the travelling theory, postcolonial sensitivity to the mutual relations between source and target contexts, and the findings of the studies...

Diploma thesis "New forms of distribution and sales of food with a focus on internet trading" aims to analyze the food market to recommend real realization of the new forms of food sales with the focus on the internet usage. The first part is focused on theoretical knowledge that explains the basic concepts related to the topic. In the second part, I focused on questioning and interviews. The aim was to find out if the customers buying food via Internet, whether they would welcome this form of selling and distributing food and the benefits of buying them over the Internet.

The objective this study was to identify the possibility of selling their products are organic farmers. At the beginning they describe the basic information on organic farming and how it differs from conventional agriculture.Another section contains forms of sale. The main part is focused on direct sales and its impact on consumers and producers.Research is conducted through a questionnaire of consumers and open-ended interviews with organic farmers. The result is a market selling organic farmers evaluation and recommendations on increasing sales.
